HP Photosmart 7760 Printer

The HP Photosmart 7760 is a slight improvement on the previous 7755 printer and offers a slight increase in terms of price and performance. The PC and MAC compatible Photosmart 7760 prints at a max 4,800 x 1,200 dpi and offers good printing performances with solid ratings for color, graphics, and photo prints. It allows for computer free printing through its slots for all major memory cards, PictBridge port for direct printing from your digital camera, and a 1.8 inch colorLCD screen will make it less convenient. The printing speeds have been improved slightly but still have a slow average top speed of around 13 pages per minute. The printer still uses a 2 ink cartridge system with 4 colors (HP 56 Black Inkjet Cartridge and HP 57 Tricolor Inkjet Cartridge) but the black can be manually replaced with a photo ink cartridge (HP 58 Photo Inkjet or HP 59 Gray Photo Inkjet) for six colors. Since these are not individual cartridges they are less efficient and might cost more in the long run. Overall the Photosmart 7760, isn’t really all that much of a step forward from the previous model. They still both offer solid home printing performance at quite an attractive price.
