HP Photosmart 8050 Printer

The HP Photosmart 8050 is a quality photo printer for the families and the home. The PC and MAC compatible Photosmart 8050 offers solid color photo prints of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. It allows for computer free printing through its slots for all major memory cards, PictBridge port for direct printing from your digital camera, and a 1.8 inch color LCD screen. The printing speeds are surprisingly fast, with an average top speed of 20 pages per minute. The printer uses a 2 ink cartridge system with 4 colors (HP 98 Black Vivera Printer Cartridge and HP 95 Vivera Tricolor Printer Cartridge) but the black can be manually replaced with a photo ink cartridge (HP 99 Vivera Photo Inkjet or HP 100 Gray Photo Inkjet) for six colors. One thing to note however, since they’re not individual cartridges they are less efficient and might cost more in the long run. Overall the Photosmart 8050 is a good combination of price and performance, good for any home.
