Picture quality wise, it boasts the same robust 4,800 x 1,200 dpi resolution and quality colors of the 8450. The printer is both Mac and windows compatible but also works standalone without a computer via an LCD screen, with slots for CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SD, SmartMedia, and xD-Picture memory cards; there.s also PictBridge port for directly connecting your digital camera. Possible negatives for some consumers would be the lack of a network port, the merely adequate 64 MB of RAM, and the relatively large size of its ink droplets that allow for larger grain look on certain images.
