Lexmark P450 Inkjet Printer

The Lexmark P450 is a decent, small photo printer with an extra twist. The PC and MAC compatible P450 offers good text and graphics, with solid photo printing of 4 x 6 photos up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. You can print computer free through its PictBridge port for direct connecting to your digital camera, slots for all major memory cards, an option Bluetooth adaptor, and a 2.4 inch color LCD for viewing and editing. The P450’s extra feature is a built in CD burner that creates photo CDs. While the feature is nice, there are a few limits: it won’t connect to your computer, only makes CD-Rs, and only load jpegs. The printing is average with average top speed of 2 minutes for a 4 x 6 print. The printer uses a single Tri-color ink cartridge (33 / 18C0033) at a relatively efficient rate. Overall the P450 provides convenient photo printing with the extra benefit of CD burning (albeit limited) but it’s not much of a deal if you don’t need to photo CD feature.
