Recycle Ink Cartridges and Laser Toner

Castle Ink is committed to saving the environment. We strongly encourage our customers to recycle ink cartridges. Recycling keeps an enormous amount of plastics from entering our landfills. Did you know that over 300 million ink cartridges are thrown away every year? And the number just keeps on growing. Plastic does not break down – it will always be there.

Recycling also reduces the quantity of new ink cartridges that needs to be produced. Why does this matter? Because to create just one laser cartridge, over 3 quarts of oil are used. When we recycle these cartridges, we only use 1 quart of oil. By recycling we can drastically reduce the gallons of oil required to produce new ink cartridges and laser toner. We encourage our customers to collect empty ink cartridges and laser toner cartridges and send them in to be recycled.
