PrintFleet Earns Recognition for MPS Solution
January 28, 2016
In business, efficient and easy access to information is critical in today’s data-driven business world. Additionally, analytics, while not the only important thing, plays a large role in how companies choose to make decisions that impact their bottom line. Earlier this week, Canadian-based MPS company PrintFleet, Inc. were rewarded for their data efforts with an Innovation Award from Buyers Lab LLC (BLI) for their Embedded Data Collection Agent (DCA). BLI is a trusted, independent source of evaluations for products across a range of industries and a reliable benchmark for companies.
Paired with Samsung laser devices, the Embedded DCA is designed specifically for small and medium-sized print environments that need a simple, intuitive device management tool for installations in situations where a server-based DCA is not needed or practical. According to PrintFleet, the Embedded DCA includes all of the necessary functionality PrintFleet users need with the addition of the ability to pre-flight and remotely configure it, thereby reducing the need for service calls or extensive IT capabilities.
The PrintFleet Embedded DCA currently works with any of the Samsung XOA devices from their Vision® solution all the way up to the more robust Enterprise™ solution. Further, the Embedded DCA can be used as part of any Dealer/Distribution/OEM program to allow for comprehensive data collection from devices regardless of brand. With straightforward installation and activation steps, it is a solid fit for the SMB market.
Jamie Bsales, Director, Office Workflow Solutions Analysis at BLI said, "Every now and then an idea comes along that combines simplicity with sheer brilliance. That?s the way we feel about PrintFleet?s MFP-resident data collection agent. Having the DCA embedded on an MFP, rather than requiring it to run on a PC or server, is more convenient for both MPS dealers and their customers, making this innovation from PrintFleet a true win-win for all involved."
PrintFleet President and CEO, Chris McFarlane stated in regards to the award, "Technology is always changing and we strive to stay at the forefront of these changes, especially as it relates to leading the way in terms of data collection. We are very honoured to receive the Outstanding Achievement in Innovation for our Embedded DCA. We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Samsung team on the project."
