Xerox Continues Success in MPS
December 31, 2015
Earlier this week OEM giant Xerox reported their placement as a Leader in Gartner Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Managed Print and Content Services for the eighth consecutive year. According to the press release, in the most recent report, Gartner looks at the increasing role of managed print services (MPS) as well as managed content services (MCS) which is inherently tied to MPS and focuses on the internal communications of an organization. In this latest edition of the report, Xerox was positioned as the company that ranks furthest along for the completeness of vision and ability to execute.
Xerox’s Next Generation MPS has three standard pieces including: assess and optimize; secure and integrate; and automate and simplify. The three work together to allow customers to connect both the print and digital realms and print content cost effectively, conveniently, and securely.
Joseph Hanania, senior vice president, Global Document Outsourcing, Large Enterprise Operations, Xerox, said, "How content is used, shared and saved in today?s mobile centric work environment is a driving force behind implementing a successful MPS and MCS approach. We believe our leadership position in this Gartner Magic Quadrant is validation that our strategy is helping our customers streamline and optimize their paper-based business processes to improve employee productivity and help meet sustainability goals."
Examples of the different parts of Xerox strategy include the following:
This is not the only honor the OEM was awarded this year for MPS. For the sixth consecutive year, Xerox was recognized by Quocirca Ltd. back in July and as a leader last month by MarketScape in their U.S. Managed Workflow Services Vendor Assessment. All these accolades demonstrate the breadth and depth of the company in the MPS space and cement their place at the top among their competition.
