Sharp Launches New Monochrome Doc Systems
March 12, 2016
Earlier this week Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), part of Sharp Electronics Corporatio, announced their latest editions to their Pro Series lineup of Monochrome Document Systems, the MX-1055 and MX-M1205. According to the release, these models build on legacy of the line to this point by simplifying print-on-demand workflows, saving time and money, and allowing businesses to in-house more jobs and obtain the results businesses need and expect.
The two models which offer print speeds of 105ppm and 120ppm also provide users the choice of whether to add the MX-PE11 Fiery Print Server which runs on the latest Fiery FS200 Pro platform. The gigantic 15.4" (diagonal) touchscreen display which is part of each system provides full control of Fiery Command WorkStation®, and continues to mark these document systems as the only ones to claim this in the print industry. Included in the most recent version of Fiery Command WorkStation are new ways to prioritize printing. Also with the Fiery print server users can quickly get a preview of a document through Fiery ImageViewer for Black and White to ensure readable and high-quality text and images.
With regards to the new units, Mike Marusic, senior vice president, Marketing, Operations & Services, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America said, "Sharp's Pro Series Monochrome Document Systems help streamline workflow with unsurpassed ease-of-use for CRDs and In-Plant customers. We've expanded our award-winning series to provide our customers with a wider variety of options to meet all of their printing needs"
John Henze, vice president, Fiery marketing, EFI added, "Based on the latest FS200 Pro system software, the MX-PE11 Fiery Print Server gives in-plants improved personalization, performance capabilities and speed enhancements, as well as the ability to adjust the contrast and brightness of printed output with the optional Fiery ImageViewer for Black and White."
Among the most useful features of the new systems’ is the new paper catalog which resides on the print engine and allows up to 1,000 paper entries which provides amazing control for device users when looking to account for specific characteristics of their preferred paper. Given Sharp’s own triple air-feed, large-capacity paper tray with the robust paper catalog ensures high-quality prints on an almost limitless range of media included coated, glossy, and specialty papers.
Given the full-service capabilities of the Pro Series lineup of devices, in-plants are now able to maximize the efficiency of their business and use tools such as the built-in Fiery FreeForm™ software to produce customized marketing campaigns.
